Heart of the Hudson Pendants are created with remanants of the Hudson River's ceramic industry which flourished in the late 1600's until the mid 1900's. The collection includes imported pieces made by the Dutch, British, and others.

These remnants are found of the shores of water bodies in Haverstraw, New York, where Nancy was raised. Often a meditative process, she has grown a collection of these historic pieces that have allowed her to process her emotions creatively and sustainably by using the objects around her.

Nancy Jagelka is a recycle artist and photographer from Rockland County, New York. Nancy graduated from Massachusetts College of Art with a BFA in photography. She has been the founder of her own non-profit arts organization, "Anthony's Park," while she lived in Baltimore City, Maryland. She has experience in grant writing, arts education, program and workshop design, as well as a lifelong career in journalism.

Nancy's artwork focuses on sustainability and creativity as a means of processing both one's inner and outer worlds. Nancy's work draws from the concept of active meditation and uses found objects to create a story.
